The Fired Arts for All Generations: WMODA Celebrates Grandparents Day
Celebrate Grandparents Day at the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts with a fun-filled day of creativity and family connection! Explore the Fired Arts through pottery, beading, scavenger hunts, and our River of Glass and Light project. Bring the family and enjoy hands-on activities for all ages.
Watch resident artist Mirela Popovici demonstrate wheel-thrown pottery or reserve a 30-minute mini-session for $30 to create your own small bowl. Mirela will fire and glaze your piece for pickup at WMODA two weeks later. At 1:00 pm, artist Lori Brown leads a hands-on Beading Workshop for ages 8+ for $15, with walk-ins welcome as space allows. Create a bracelet, bookmark, keychain, or suncatcher. Add your own colorful sculpture to the River of Glass and Light project from 10:00 am–3:00 pm.
FREE admission with registration! Reserve pottery or beading activities by calling 954-376-6690 or emailing events@wmoda.com. Activity fees are payable at check-in.
